The National Transcript Center is a secure national service that improves the efficiency, reliability, cost and security of sending and receiving student records. NTC member institutions log in to a user-friendly, browser-based application to send, receive, manage, track, and import their electronic transcripts.
NTC enables members to send electronic student records between K-12 institutions as well as electronic transcripts from high schools to higher education institutions.
K-12 schools benefit in numerous ways from using NTC: saving money through reduced expenses, saving time through improved efficiencies, improving data quality through the elimination of re-keying data, and improving student placement by receiving records immediately. In addition, K-12 schools can rest easy knowing we are passionate about security, confidentiality, and open standards, and that NTC was built on these commitments.
Key benefits for K-12 schools:

Send electronic student records K-12 to K-12 and electronic transcripts K-12 to college – NTC provides a complete PK-20 solution.

Exchange REAL data with schools on other data standards – NTC's exclusive data translation engine allows schools to exchange academic records/transcripts with institutions that use other data standards without purchasing additional translation software.

Instantly locate a transcript – NTC's Track a Transcript feature allows users/students to enter a unique transcript number and receive information on the current location and history of the transcript.

Student mobility challenges are eased – Immediate record transfer makes it easier to place incoming students appropriately and promptly. Also, there are no state boundaries with NTC, so it's just as easy to trade with out-of-state schools as with in-state schools.

Minimal staff training – NTC's intuitive interface is as easy to use as email or any major website.

Easily identify recipient institutions – When sending records, it only takes a few seconds to select from over 137,000 public and private PK-20 educational institutions across the country.
